Carroll Citizens for Racial Equality/Local Management Board Diversity Committee/South Carroll Roundtable (CCRE) is holding a 20th year anniversary event on May 1st. To be held at the Carroll Non-Profit Center, the event is hoping to attract approximately 50 community representatives from the civic, social service and private sectors of Carroll County. CCRE has worked over 20 years to promote community building and collaboration among all races and ethnic groups.
The day will include a roundtable discussion in the morning followed by a featured speaker focusing on Native American affairs in Maryland. Free lunch is provided during a group discussion highlighting the One Maryland, One Book selection for this year entitled, “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian.”

CCC travels to El Canyon at least 2 times per year to help, encourage and make a difference in the lives of those living in this community as well as the lives of those church members who go to minister.
